Canada – US Walleye Tournament 2016

“The Original Live Release Canada-US Walleye Tournament“ is alive and growing each Year!

This year on May 27-29, 2016 is the 36th Annual Tournament and it will be having 140 Teams of 2 Anglers for the weekend. The guaranteed cash prizes are: 1st $10,000, 2nd $5,000 and 3rd $3,000 plus many other cash and product prizes and guarantee a minimum 100% of the registration fee payback as cash prizes. The event will be fished on Sturgeon Lake , Bobcaygeon Ontario. All of the land activities will be centered at the Bobcaygeon Arena, Mansfield St. on the Fairgrounds in town. The incredible support of the local Community, Businesses and Volunteers helps to make this the Tournament, one that you want to be part of. The tournament is focused on the live release and health of the fish returning to the lake as the ultimate goal.  In addition they are trying to introduce the younger generation to the world of the outdoors and fishing in general.

In order to provide a first class event, there is always a need for sponsorship and we are approaching our local Bobcaygeon – Kawartha Lakes businesses as well as other businesses and are all invited to become involved. There will be several Feature Levels of sponsorship and various exposure packages made available. One of the Special Features will be a Sportsman Trade Show type of venue, as well as the fishing activities, that can attract not only the fisherman but also the regional tourism / local people and media to the event. This will be an indoor venue at the Bobcaygeon Arena, it will happen in comfort, regardless of the weather!
